Jann Saven was born in 1966, in Cape Town, South Africa. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts (HONS) Jewellery at Middlesex University in London, UK in 1992 and spent a residency year at Ruth Prowse Art School in Cape Town in 2016. Jann has worked both employed and independently as a jewellery designer and fine metalsmith, as well as in an architectural practice. She currently works from her studio in Woodstock, Cape Town as a visual artist.
